Congresswoman Lofgren is a founding member of the Congressional Internet Caucus and a member of the subcommittees on Energy and the Environment and Investigations and Oversight of the Committee on Science, Space and Technology and the subcommittees on Intellectual Property, Competition and the Internet and Immigration Policy and Enforcement of the Committee on Judiciary Committee.

The State of the Net West is a series of Silicon Valley technology townhall meetings with Congressional Internet Caucus Leaders and government policymakers throughout 2012. The State of the Net West series is designed to bridge the policy discussion between Washington policymakers and high tech centers such as Silicon Valley. It is hosted collaboratively by the Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee and the High Tech Law Institute at Santa Clara University Law School. We expect that the increased interest in and concern about technology policymaking in Washington will make these discussions vigorous and productive.
