Presenter's Biography
I have been a practicing attorney for many years, hoping to improve the world through our judicial and legislative systems. Because progress was slow, I began searching for ways to help people 'be the change they want to see in the world' and find their 'root causes of success.' During this quest, I was trained as a mediator, civil collaborative practitioner, co-active coach™ and group facilitator, all of which allow people to be heard, dream big and implement their wishes and desires through partnership and collaboration. The most delicious piece has been adding Appreciative Inquiry to help people use their strengths and successes to forge a compelling future. I have given AI workshops and presentations for CompassPoint Non-Profit Services, New Leaders for New Schools (AI and Coaching), the Minnesota Collaborative Law Institute (AI and civil law cases), the Santa Clara Bar Association ADR Section (AI and Mediation) and the International Center of Austin (AI and volunteer program development), among others.
