The connection from Yerba Buena Island to the new East Span of the Bay Bridge is now complete. The new East Span, a true construction marvel, is almost to the halfway mark and remains one of the largest construction projects in the U.S. Wouldn’t you like to get a better view of what’s going on, and get the inside information on how Caltrans so accurately made that Treasure Island connection?
We have arranged for two 90-minute Caltrans boat tours – the first starting at 10:00 AM and the second at 1:30 PM. We’ll walk about one-half mile to the boat landing at the East end of the bridge. You’ll see the ongoing construction of the skyway, and the Treasure Island connection. The tour leader will be Bart Ney, Public Information Officer for the bridge project.
Lunch will be provided for both groups.
Each tour is limited to 20 people by advance reservation only. No walk-ins.
