When you complete this program, you will be eligible to take the examination to achieve certification as an EMT-Basic. As the EMS system evolves it will be likely that the role of the

EMT will expand in both scope and responsibility. Therefore it is imperative that you become proficient in your skills and practice of pre-hospital medicine. The New Britain EMS staff will support you in your education and practice; however they will not carry you! You must embrace this course as you would any other educational opportunity.

Classes Held On Tuesday's and Thursdays 6pm-9pm.

One Saturday session will be required.
