Autodesk Revit Architecture is a complete Building Information Modeling tool that is based on coordination, delivers a faster project and manages reliable information about a project from which users can explore the design phase through construction and into operations. This course introduces the user to Revit’s interface and explores best practices such as the benefits of building information modeling, the fundamental features of Revit, creating construction documents, and the presentation tools for design visualization.

The primary objective of this workshop is to teach students the concepts of building information modeling and introduce the tools for parametric building design and documentation using Revit Architecture 2009.  Participants will each be seated at a computer and should already have some work or course experience with CAD software.

The course is introductory level and divided into two days: the first day covers the interfaces and modeling. The second day covers drawing production and representation. We are offering two sessions of this course: Tuesday/Thursday (Session A) or Wednesday/Friday (Session B); each day's lesson willrun 9 am to 4 pm with a one hour lunch break.
