Luncheon Topic Lean Six Sigma and Security Objectives: This presentation will outline the basics of Lean and Six Sigma and provide examples on how to employ it in IT Security. It will also cover the DMAIC process and how it can be used to obtain optimal results. Content: Lean and Six Sigma have been used in the manufacturing arena for many years to assist in improving speed and quality. The fusion of Lean and Six Sigma into one process utilizes a business improvement methodology (DMAIC)that allows us to realize the fastest rate of improvement in customer satisfaction, cost, quality, process, speed, and invested capital. In addition, Lean Six Sigma’s very nature is designed to eliminate waste and optimize your process improvement. It provides a benefit to large and small organizations to increase and or improve customer satisfaction, profitability and overall work place atmosphere. Prerequisites: None Experience Level: Basic CPEs: 1 hour Presenter: Mario Chiock, CISSP, CISA, CISM Mario Chiock is an active member of the ISSA, is past President of the South Texas Chapter of ISSA, and a current member of ISACA. With more than 15 years experience in IT and Security, he has been instrumental in the implementation of Information Security initiatives since 1997. He spent over 28 years with a large oil and gas company and has held many positions ranging from Field engineer to Corporate IT manager in New York and Paris. Mario is currently the Manager of IT Systems Services for and also maintains a role as Senior Security Advisor.
