The Future of Tampa Bay's Commercial Real Estate Market
The Region's Annual Business Meeting features a presentation by Larry Richey, Senior Managing Director, and Bruce Erhardt, Executive Director, of Cushman & Wakefield's Tampa Office. They will review overall expectations and realities of the market and the prospcts for future commercial development in the next several years. Some of the key points that will be discussed include:
- What are the current and future realities of the Tampa Bay Commercial Real Estate Market?
- What will the office, industrial, and retail markets look like in 5-10 years?
- What will be the drivers that will impact future development?
- How may this development cycle be different from past cycles?
Immediately preceding their presentaton will be the DBIA Florida Region's Annual Business Meeting. Region volunteers will provide an overview of the status of the Region. In addition, members will elect officers for 2010.
About the Speakers:
Larry Richey is Senior Managing Director for the Central and North Florida Offices of Cushman & Wakefield. In that position, he is responsible for the company's offices in Orlando, Tampa, Fort Myers and Jacksonville. Before joining Cushman & Wakefield 28 years ago, Mr. Richey was a Certified Public Accountant with the accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand in Atlanta. He is also an attorney and a member of the Georgia Bar.
Bruce Erhardt, ALC joined the predecessor of Cushman & Wakefield, J.L. Hearin, three months before Cushman & Wakefield bought the company in 1978. Since becoming a land specialist in 1982, Mr. Erhardt has sold over 30,000 acres of office, retail, industrial, hotel and multi-family and single-family properties totaling over $1 billion. While he specializes in the Tampa Bay area, he has closed transactions in Orlando, Jacksonville, Boca Raton, Ft. Myers and Port St. Lucie.
