SEMINAR ABSTRACT
Learn the basics of Non-Liner Finite Element Analysis in this course, filled with examples & non-linear applications. FREE Abaqus software (Student version) is given to every qualified participant (based on citizenship and compliance with U.S.A. export laws).Dr. Arsen Tonoyan is a member of the technical staff at SIMULIA West, the west coast branch office of Dassault Systèmes Simulia Corp. He currently leads an engineering team which provides high level of technical support, training, mentoring and consulting services to Abaqus users across several industries – aerospace, defense, electronics, biomedical and life sciences, automotive, energy and petrochemical, consumer goods, heavy machinery, manufacturing, consulting. Since joining Abaqus team in 2000, Dr. Tonoyan has been involved in providing technical support and conducting advanced courses to Abaqus software users. He performed multitude of FEA consulting projects to companies in various fields of engineering, as well as mentored Abaqus users directly into their applications. Before his career at SIMULIA, Dr. Tonoyan has taught courses and conducted research at the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of Arizona and Earthquake Engineering Department of the American University of Armenia.
Dr. Tonoyan earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona, ME degree in Earthquake Engineering from the American University of Armenia, and MS/BS degrees in Engineering Mechanics and Applied Mathematics from the Yerevan State University, USSR.
