USTDA invites you to participate in a Business Briefing with a delegation of senior Indian energy officials to learn about procurement opportunities in the field of unconventional gas development and carbon capture and storage (CCS). India has large emerging resources of shale gas, tight oil, and coal bed methane and seeks to tap these sources to meet rapidly growing clean energy needs. India also seeks to reduce the impact of coal power plants and industrial sites on air quality through the application of CCS technologies. Commercialization of coal mine methane is also being pursued.
Opportunities exist for U.S. companies specializing in horizontal shale gas well drilling and completion, well stimulation design, geological analysis, reservoir engineering, seismic interpretation, water management, and environmental technologies. Urban shale drilling approaches are also applicable. Mid¿stream infrastructure including gas processing, compression, and natural gas liquids management will be needed.
During the Business Briefing, U.S. companies will receive information on India’s plans for assessing and developing its shale gas and coal bed /coal mine methane resources and plans for CCS and will have the opportunity to discuss their products and services in one¿on-one meetings with delegates responsible for policy development and service sector and technology needs.
