Join local architect David Baker FAIA LEED AP for an urban bike ride on Saturday, October 6, San Francisco's Affordable Housing Day. This intermediate-level city ride will start at the Ferry Building Plaza and cover approximately 20 miles on city streets with three stops at Affordable Housing Day open houses.
Please sign up to reserve a spot. Bring your own bike, lock, helmet, and water. The reservation includes a donation to The Council of Community Housing Organizations (CCHO), which strives to create an effective affordable housing policy framework and adequate funding for the creation of affordable housing.
The ride will begin at the SF Ferry Building Plaza and end at Armstrong Senior Housing on Armstrong and Third Streets with stops at St. Peter's Place (Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center/Herman Coliver Locus Architects) and Mosaica Alabama Street Housing (Citizens Housing Corporation/Dan Solomon Design Partners).
Tentative Schedule: 11:30 AM- Meet at Ferry Building Plaza 11:45 AM- Take off! We will leave on time so please do not come late. 1 PM- Arrive at St. Peter's Place (420 29th Ave.) 1:45 PM- Leave St. Peter's Place 2:45 PM- Arrive Mosaica (2949 18th St.) 3:30 PM- Leave Mosaica 4 PM- Arrive Armstrong Senior Housing (5600 3rd St.)
There will be drinks and snacks available at the end of the ride.
