A DUCKY FROM YOU MAKES WISHES COME TRUE!
The Rubber Ducky Derby is a fun community event sponsored by Jerry Seiner Dealerships and UAW-GM. This grass-roots fundraiser supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Utah as it grants the wishes of Utah children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.
Individuals, local businesses and community groups 'sponsor' a ducky (or flocks of duckies) for a ducky race held August 26, 2006, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Raging Waters' Lazy River, 1200 West 1700 South, Salt Lake City, Utah.
Everyone who sponsors a ducky has a chance to WIN a an ivory white 2006 Pontiac G6 Sedan (with air conditioning, auto transmission, front wheel drive, am/fm stereo with CD player, and power windows and locks) courtesy of Jerry Seiner Dealerships.
With EVERY ducky you sponsor you RECEIVE:
- A coupon for a BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE general admission adult swim pass. Valid at Raging Waters through Monday, September 4, 2006.
- Other FUN PRIZES
- SPECIAL COUPONS from event sponsors.
- YOUR NAME assigned to a rubber ducky to race in the August 26, 2006 Derby.
- The SATISFACTION that you've helped grant the heartfelt wishes of Utah children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Duckies can be sponsored for a donation of $5 each; however, no purchase is necessary to enter or to receive a prize.
Rules and Regulations:
1. No purchase is necessary to enter or receive a prize. A purchase will not increase the odds of winning. To obtain a free ducky, visit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Utah, 771 East Winchester, Murray, UT 84107, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or call (801)262-WISH, or enter by mail.
2. You must be eighteen (18) years of age or older and have a valid driver's license to win.
3. You need not be present to win.
4. Make-A-Wish Foundation employees and their immediate families are not eligible to win.
5. The winner will be announced at the race and notified by phone/mail.
6. Prize winners are responsible for all state, federal, local, and all applicable taxes, licenses, and registration fees.
7. By entering, participants release the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Utah, its members, and all sponsors, employees, and related entities from any liability with respect to prizes and race-day activities.
8. Each person entering receives a chance to WIN a 2006 Pontiac G6 Sedan and other prizes. Participants also receive special coupons from event sponsors. Sponsorship certificates and coupons will be sent by mail. Entries received less than five days before the event may receive materials at Raging Waters on the day of the race or by mail thereafter.
9. The total number of duckies sponsored determines your chance of winning. In 2005, there were 15,000 duckies entered.
10. To receive a list of prize winners, call the Make-A-Wish Foundation offices at (801) 262-WISH (9474) after September 1, 2006.
11. Void where prohibited.
