Newsrooms get hundreds of press releases every week. Most are tossed before they're read because they focus on hype, not news. How do you rise above the fray? Turn your releases into Features! Feature articles stand out because they have a different "look and feel." Plus, they present valuable information in a concise package editors find most useful.
In this fast-paced, interactive workshop, taught by former UPI and daily newspaper reporter Steve Gosset (now with PR Newswire) you'll: * Learn the best media relations practices for feature coverage * Break down the essential feature ingredients paragraph-by-paragraph * Know when to include photos and/or multimedia elements * Explore writing for the IR (investor relations) audience * Take a virtual tour of successful B-2-B and B-2-C features * Write a feature article "on the fly" * Receive a copy of the "Gossett Guide to Good Features"
Steve will also be available after the workshop for a one-on-one feature article critique session so be sure to bring your samples.
