Pete Deemer is offering a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) training course in Mumbai, India on Friday and Saturday, February 23 and 24, 2007.  This two-day course will provide a comprehensive in-depth training in Scrum practice, taught by a ScrumAlliance Certified Scrum Trainer who co-leads Yahoo!'s large-scale adoption of Scrum.  The course will cover a range of topics, including: onshore / offshore development using Scrum; using Scrum for contract software development and services; Scrum and CMMi; business metrics and Scrum; release planning and estimation using Scrum; and
strategies for successful corporate adoption of Scrum.

All attendees who complete the course will become Certified ScrumMasters (CSMs), and will be listed on the ScrumAlliance website's CSM registry.  As Certified ScrumMasters, they will also receive an individual license and a copy of the Scrum methodology, Scrum training materials, and Scrum artifact templates, and they will have access to the ScrumAlliance website's ScrumMaster restricted areas.  Attendees who are Project Management Institute PMP's are eligible for 14 Professional Development Units.

Pete Deemer is Chief Product Officer of Yahoo!'s 900-person India Research and Development facility in Bangalore. Pete is an honors graduate of Harvard University, and has spent the last 15 years in executive product and technology roles at leading companies including IDG, c|net, and Yahoo!. Pete has also served for a number of years as adjunct faculty at University of California Berkeley, most recently in the Graduate School of Business, where he received the prestigious Club 6 teaching award.

Pete is a Certified Scrum Trainer, and he co-leads Yahoo!’s large-scale corporate adoption of Scrum, which now encompasses more than 60 project teams and 700 employees in the US, India, Europe, and Asia.  He is co-author of The Scrum Primer (

Cancellations / date changes less than 21 days before the start of the training will be subject to a 50% penalty, and cancellations / date changes less than 14 days before the start of the training will be subject to a 100% cancellation penalty.
