A joint event with the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley and the Sloan Alumni Club of Boston.
Michaela Rodeno, the dynamic CEO of St. Supéry Vineyard and Winery and a Haas MBA, will show you how to assess and savor various types of wine from the St. Supéry Winery. Micheala will talk about the changing wine business in the United States. In addition to tasting St. Supéry wines, cheese and crackers will be served.
Ms. Rodeno is one of the leading women in the California wine industry and a passionate advocate for (moderate) wine enjoyment in general and Napa Valley wines in particular. She manages all the St. Supéry Winery's activities, from strategic planning, grape growing and wine production, to finance, new product development and marketing and sales. Prior to joining St. Supéry in 1988, Michaela was with Domaine Chandon for more than 15 years.
As co-founder of Women for WineSense, a national organization promoting wine as part of a healthy, balanced lifestyle, Michaela continues a long history of involvement in industry-wide issues. She served on the boards of California's Wine Institute and the Napa Valley Vintners in the early 1990s. She is a founding director and currently chair of the Wine Market Council, an initiative to create a national generic marketing campaign for wine. In 1999 Michaela was elected chairman of the Meritage Association, and has been a director of Silicon Valley Bank since 2001.
