One of the most powerful choices we can make is to forgive those who we perceive to have injured or wronged us in some way. Yet, the concept of forgiveness is often misunderstood. Forgiveness is not a denial of the injury or wrongdoing, but rather a decision to empower ourselves, rather than continue to feel victimized. Forgiveness enables us to let go of the past and move forward in our lives.
In this two-day workshop, we will explore the role of forgiveness in resolving conflict, what it means to forgive, why forgiveness is important – including the physical, psychological and spiritual benefits – and the most effective methods for achieving forgiveness. Participants will learn a powerful forgiveness process and have the opportunity to apply the steps of forgiveness to a personal conflict situation.
This program is intended for anyone interested in deepening their understanding of forgiveness and the role that forgiveness plays in conflict resolution. Past participants have included mediators, attorneys, managers, counselors, educators, students and individuals wanting to release difficult conflict and restore peace in their lives.
