NYCETC, in partnership with the NYC Workforce Investment Board, invites you to participate in a one-day conference to learn how other cities and states are operating innovative Sector-Based Career Pathway Programs. New Yorkers will have the opportunity to gain insights from initiatives underway in Chicago, San Francisco, Arkansas and Washington State that help entry-level workers advance in their careers. Join your workforce development colleagues from community colleges, community-based organizations, NYC and NY State government agencies, private foundations, industry associations and others to learn and discuss:
  • How to build “win-win” public-private partnerships between community colleges, community-based organizations, government and employers.
  • How these cities and states have customized career pathway programs to meet the needs of employers and workers in the health care, manufacturing, nonprofit, tourism/hospitality and other industries.
  • How these cities and states financially support and sustain career pathway programs using an array of public and private funding strategies.
