Description

The RCP Quickstart course provides a solid introduction to the Eclipse Rich Client Platform. This course is structured as a set of 6 units taught over 3 days. Each of the units takes about 3 hours to cover, with at least half of that time devoted to hands-on labs. You can view the complete course agenda here.

Materials

Participants in the class will receive the RCP Quickstart manual and lab materials in both printed and electronic forms.

Instructor

The RCP Quickstart course is offered in North America by Patrick Paulin, a software developer and trainer who has worked with the Eclipse Rich Client Platform from its inception. Patrick is also a regular speaker at technology conferences such as EclipseCon and Eclipse World.

Prerequisites

This course assumes no prior knowledge of the Eclipse Rich Client Platform. It is expected that students will have a strong knowledge of Java and some experience with the Eclipse IDE.
