Break exciting, new visual territory with the wide variety of subjects found at Point Reyes. Field sessions will mate shapes, forms, colors and textures with fresh concepts of composition and exposure. In addition to exploring the natural world, participants will photograph some of the area’s historic architecture and practice techniques for creating compelling travel portraits. The instructor and participants will share examples of their own photography, made prior to and during the seminar. Rather than focusing on post-processing of images with a computer, emphasis will be on the making of photographs. Expect short walks rather than longer trail

hikes. Photographers with either digital and/or film cameras are welcome, as are those with any level of experience. Accommodations are included at the Clem Miller Environmental Education Center.

Field Seminar Refund Policy: Notification must be received at least 14 days before the first day of the class if you cancel and wish to receive a refund (minus a $10 processing fee for each person registered) or a full credit toward another seminar (good for one year). No refunds, transfers or credits will be issued on cancellations made less than 14 days in advance. We regret that NO EXCEPTIONS to this cancellation policy can be made, even for medical reasons. In the rare event that Point Reyes Field Seminars cancels a program, we will issue a full refund or credit.
