Bob Okabe and ACEF recently created this half-day workshop to highlight new and emerging trends in raising early-stage capital. Bob covers current trends in pre-money valuation, including a critique of popular wisdom, through analysis of proprietary data supplemented by interviews with leading players. Bob is a national trainer for ACEF. He has made 11 angel investments, co-founded an angel group, and organized an affiliated angel fund.

Luncheon with Keynote by John O. Huston, Chairman, Angel Capital Association

Get an update on trends in angel group investment and recommendations for the future from John Huston. Since retiring froma 30 year banking career, John has been an active angel investor, founder and manager of the 200+ member Ohio TechAngel Funds, and is the vice chairman of the Ohio Venture Capital Authority. He serves on the executive committe of three of Ohio's seven angel groups. Past chairman ofhe Angel Capital Education Foundation, John currently chairs the Angel Capital Association, the trade association of North America's angel orgnizations.

Finding Good Deals in Texas for the next 10 Years (includes lunch and reception)

The afternoon will provide diverse views of angel deal flow in Texas. Jamie Rhodes, founder of the Central Texas Angel Network, will describe the statewide deal collaboration infrastructure. Leaders of university commercialization programs will talk about changes to those programs. And entrepreneurs, investors, and corporate executives will discuss angel opportunities in the energy industry.

Angel Reception 5:30 - 8:00pm
Meet the Angel Capital Association’s Board of Directors and approximately 100 leaders of America’s top angel groups over BBQ and beverages. The investors are in town for the ACA Leaders Workshop on November 5^th.
