Description:

In this workshop we will identify markers of register in both ASL
and English, and examine how the differences create challenges in
our work. We will analyze a variety of ASL source texts for register
and explore options for expressing the meaning in English. We will
also examine the impact of powerless language on the listener, and
techniques for “Powerful Voicing”.
