An exciting tour of the successes (and failures) of organizations who drive realization of their long-range future-state vision through project management. We will explore public- or private-sector strategies to achieve value by:
· Tying metrics to targeted projects within a portfolio
· Effective implementation of program management structures
· New concepts such as the results management office
· Supporting management disciplines necessary to execute
Long-term case-studies from the State of Florida, Federal, and other states will be detailed, including highly successful programs from the Florida Department of Revenue. We will demonstrate the Deloitte Enterprise Value Map and other tools that link strategic value and performance metrics to the individual projects driving that strategy. We will close with a review the common barriers to success and a brief overview of new, innovative toolsets which can help.
