Welcome to the 18th Annual
Dia de Los Muertos Pre-Health Conference!
The DDLM conference is organized and hosted by the Bay Area CHE's and is rotated on an annual basis between UC Berkeley, Stanford University and UC Davis. The goal of the conference is to provide pre-medical and pre-health students of color with information about applying to medical school, public health school, nursing school, dentistry school, and pharmacy school and to inspire them through a series of workshops, panels, and medical-student run gross anatomy demonstrations.
The conference presents a unique opportunity to bring pre-health students together and provide them with the resources they need to help them successfully pursue their respective health professions, and draw attention to various health issues prevalent in their communities. This year the DDLM Conference is hosted by the Berkeley chapter of Chicanos/Latinos in Health Education (CHE) at University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine on Saturday November 6th, 2010. We have worked in collaboration with the UCSF Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) to put on this event. The conference includes its anatomy exhibit, admissions workshops for each professional field, motivational speakers, and panel discussions on health disparities, women in health careers, and specialties in health fields. We hope you all take advantage of all the workshops and speakers, and enjoy everything that the 18th Annual Dia De Los Muertos Pre-Health Conference has to offer!
