This symposium will gather distinguished professors, lobbyists, advocates and experts to create a forum for discussion on topics such as: causes and consequences of domestic violence against women, current laws that help or hinder abused women, and available resources for abused women and lawyers who want to help them. We will also address the varying theoretical approaches to tackling domestic violence issues with respect to the existing system: what works, what doesn't, and what should be altered.
