With a profusion of wildflowers covering the land, spring is an exuberant time to experience the magic of Point Reyes. Whether the focus is on exploration of the columbine found under the forest canopy, fields of Douglas iris near Limantour Beach, poppies at Abbott’s Lagoon, or checker bloom and pussy’s ears at Chimney Rock, your perceptions of the world at our feet will be sharpened and refined.
This weekend’s workshop will provide an opportunity to focus on designing images that really communicate our inspirations. Photographing wildflowers is “pure fun” and Jimmy will help participants gain sensitivity to eloquent wildflower light and provide opportunities and techniques for making more impressionistic images including: multiple exposures, zooming and blurring techniques. Through slide lecture presentations and guided field sessions, Jimmy will also share techniques that have enabled him to work more effectively as a close-up, landscape and travel photographer.
