The Discovery Series for parents of children who are recently diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. We offer a four-session course for families with autism or PDD (pervasive developmental disorder) and a one-session course for families with Asperger Syndrome. Each course deals with the joys and challenges unique to each diagnosis.

This Discovery Series for family members of adolescents and adults on the autism spectrum. Each course focuses on the unique joys and challenges experienced during these stages of life. The goals of these courses include: explore the ways ASD impacts adolescence and adulthood, learn strategies for successful independence, support social skills in all settings, including work, issues around sexuality, provide guidance for adult life and learn new behavior management strategies. Adult series is designed for those recently diagnosed with ASD, their families and/or caregivers.

The Autism Society of Minnesota Purchase/refund policy: Cancellation by registrant: Refunds less a $10 processing fee will be given for cancellations received in writing to events@ausm.org seven (7) business days prior to the event. Following this date, no refunds will be given. Requests for transfer of registration to another individual will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Cancellation by event organizer: AuSM reserves the right to cancel an event due to low registrations or other circumstances that make the event non-viable. If AuSM cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund. If the event is postponed, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.
