This workshop is designed for film and digital photographers wishing to strengthen their abilities to see and work in color. Through a slide and digital presentation, a review of student work and a planned field session, participants will gain sensitivity to light and its effects on color, composition, texture, pattern and design. Our main focus is the examination of light and color from a personal point of view. Jimmy will guide students to finding those subjects that inspire them and open the space for participants to see how their unique vision of the world can help to develop an individual style for personal enjoyment or commercial success. In the late afternoon, students will chase the stunning low-angled Point Reyes autumnal light and put into practice concepts learned earlier in the day.

Field Seminar Refund Policy: Notification must be received at least 14 days before the first day of the class if you cancel and wish to receive a refund (minus a $10 processing fee for each person registered) or a full credit toward another seminar (good for one year). No refunds, transfers or credits will be issued on cancellations made less than 14 days in advance. We regret that NO EXCEPTIONS to this cancellation policy can be made, even for medical reasons. In the rare event that Point Reyes Field Seminars cancels a program, we will issue a full refund or credit.
