In visits to Olema Marsh, Five Brooks, Bear Valley, and the Giacomini wetlands, this class focuses on observing and identifying a variety of land birds including flycatchers, warblers, grosbeaks, woodpeckers, thrushes, and finches. Identification using field marks, voice, and habitat selection will be reinforced throughout the day. Spent entirely in the field at a variety of habitats, participants will take several easy short walks with little to no elevation gain.

Field Seminar Refund Policy: Notification must be received at least 14 days before the first day of the class if you cancel and wish to receive a refund (minus a $10 processing fee for each person registered) or a full credit toward another seminar (good for one year). No refunds, transfers or credits will be issued on cancellations made less than 14 days in advance. We regret that NO EXCEPTIONS to this cancellation policy can be made, even for medical reasons. In the rare event that Point Reyes Field Seminars cancels a program, we will issue a full refund or credit.
