Training 20,000 Managers in 5 Weeks

This free online event features David Robins, Global Knowledge Manager of Hewlett-Packard's (HP)Education Services, who will describe three specific examples of how learning technology is helping to transform HP. HP is a global provider of IT products, technologies, solutions and services to consumers and businesses.

First, you'll find out how learning technology accomplished critical activities related to the HP-Compaq merge. Using the HP Virtual Classroom, HP significantly reduced time and cost associated with the enterprise-wide roll-out of new company-wide personnel processes, new salary/benefits programs, and merging of complex financial systems.

Second, you'll see how HP converted a 10-day classroom course into a online blended solution to certify 3,000 employees, as well as outside professionals in Microsoft .NET.

And finally, you hear how HP is using innovative 'virtual lab' technology to provide its IT professional customers with the ability to do intensive Unix systems practice without leaving their desktops.

David Robins has been with HP Education Services for fourteen years as a process and project manager, course developer, and education specialist. Prior to HP, David was a training consultant and seminar leader specializing in enterprise training. His BS degree is in Business Administration and he has attained the ATM-Silver designation in Toastmasters International. David has been a long-time member of ASTD and the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI). In 1998, he co-authored 'The Certification Suite: A Classification System for Certification Tests' with Dr. William Coscarelli and others, published in Performance Improvement magazine. David has presented at conferences throughout North America, and in Brazil, Japan, the Netherlands, Denmark, U.K., and the Czech Republic. In September, 2003, his interview on remote training with Forbes Radio was broadcast on the American Airlines audio channel.

This online will also be interactive - you'll have an opportunity to post questions directly to David Robins. Don't miss this opportunity, to gain from the experiences from one of the world's leading and most respected technology companies.
