Please join the InfiniBand Trade Association (www.infinibandta.org) and the OpenIB Alliance (www.openib.org) at the Datacenter Fabric Workshop, August 22 at Moscone West in San Francisco.

Hosted by the IBTA and OpenIB, the full RDMA community is invited, including customers and members of iWARP Consortium, RDMA Consortium, Interconnect Software Consortium, RNIC-PI Working Group and other members of Open Group Forums.

This workshop aims to improve our working together to make standards that work for our customers.

The Datacenter Fabric Workshop will bring together both developers, integrators and customers from the Grid and HPC Communities to coordinate and advance:

* The current work on integrating driver and low level code into the Linux and Windows operating systems and associated virtualizing monitors;

* Ensure these core components support a common, consistent set of dynamically selectable upper level protocols such as DAPL, SDP, iSER;

* To validate the plans for release and distribution of both the core components and upper layer protocols;

* The widespread testing of certification and production readiness for the core components and upper level protocols;

* The opportunity for developers and integrators to verify directly with their customers that the intended products are acceptable and meet user requirements.

Program tracks, sessions, speakers and abstracts are available at http://openib.sterling.net/workshopDetails.aspx.

Discussions will cover the range of RDMA architectures as they apply to Grid and HPC, virtualization, filesystems, storage subsystems and infrastructure deployment. Full featured capability, interoperability, application interface consistency, operating system availability and system resilience between software stacks and architectures will form a common thread throughout the sessions.

If you haven't signed up for IDF yet, we invite you to take advantage of an exclusive discount. The InfiniBand Trade Association and the OpenIB Alliance both have priority registration codes for only $750, saving you $945! To register for IDF and receive this discount, go to:

* The priority code for IBTA is SGREMBTA (code active through Aug. 25)

* The priority code for OpenIB is SGREMPEN (code active through Aug. 25)

Workshop attendees who can't attend all three days of IDF also have an exclusive opportunity to register for a one-day IDF pass for $250. This rate will not be available anywhere else at the conference. With the first day's agenda featuring a keynote by Intel CEO Paul Otellini, technical sessions delivered by Intel and industry experts, and the opening of the technology showcase featuring next generation platform demonstrations, the value of this one day pass is unbeatable.
