The North Columbia Schoolhouse Cultural Center once again will host the popular Sierra Storytelling Festival with another topnotch line-up of award winning, multi-talented storytellers to entertain adults and children alike with imaginative tales, drama and lively music in the historic Schoolhouse and in the pine-shaded amphitheater (the first and maybe the only one in America built specifically for storytelling). The festival begins on Friday, at 1:30pm with workshop with Judith Black. The Gala opening with all the featured tellers is at 8 PM. Saturday's storytelling events begin at 9:30 AM with a variety of sessions offered by featured tellers--individually and in pairs-- followed by the ever-popular open telling session (where any brave soul with a story of less than 5 minutes can sign up), and conclude with the evening concert featuring stories told by each of the invited tellers. Sunday begins at 10 AM with The Children's Show starring award-winning Willy Calfflin. This performance will be followed by the Grand Finale at 11:45 AM with engaging Tales from the Heart for the Spirit shared by each of the featured tellers.
