About the Speakers:

Sadie Waddington
Sadie Waddington is the owner of One Big Fish Green Events and President of Locally Grown Weddings, a green wedding vendor team. With more than a decade of experience in event planning, Sadie provides her clients with an education about keeping their events sustainable and using local resources.

She began her career as the promotions manager for a display company, then moved to producing corporate events. Sadie has worked in the non-profit arena on large fundraising events, from 1000 person bike rides to 500 person luncheons. Her experience as an event manager, coupled with her need to help promote eco-friendly choices for her clients lead to her branching out on her own as the founding owner of One Big Fish Green Events. Sadie’s work can be found online at Style me Pretty & Locally Grown Weddings.

Madeline Trait
Madeline Trait is the owner of Madeline Trait Design and Member of Locally Grown Weddings. Her design career started in the architectural and interior design fields where she worked for over eight years. She learned to construct space as well as how to compose it with materials, furniture, fabrics and objects. Throughout this time she always had the desire to create art and work with her hands so she continually sought out other creative outlets.

One of those creative outlets was working with flowers. She began to teach herself the art of composing flowers to enhance her own environment. Her business emerged as a way to marry her passion for art, design and flowers. In addition to Madeline’s creative passions, she is also passionate about the environment and her local community. That is why she is committed to bringing local, sustainable and organic products and practices to her business.
